Order On order of the Court, pursuant to MCR 7.302(F)(1), in lieu of granting leave to appeal, the prosecutor was ordered to show cause in writing, in this Court, within 28 days after the date of this order, why the defendant's conviction should not be reversed for failure to comply with the discovery order and on the grounds of newly discovered evidence as argued in Issue III of defendant's delayed application for leave to appeal and Issue I of the supplemental brief on appeal attached to defendant's delayed application for leave to appeal. The prosecutor responded on January 15, 1993. We direct the Recorder's Court for the City of Detroit to appoint the State Appellate Defender Office as defendant's appellate counsel. The Recorder's Court for the City of Detroit must promptly forward to the Clerk of this Court a copy of the appointment order.
